What is KBS (Turkey's Guest Identity Reporting System)?

Turkish: Kimlik Bildirim Sistemi

KBS (Kimlik Bildirim Sistemi) is the electronic system through which accommodation establishments in Turkey report their guests' identity details and check-ins/check-outs to the law enforcement unit responsible for their area (the Police or the Gendarmerie).

Its legal basis is the Identity Reporting Law No. 1774 (Kimlik Bildirme Kanunu). If the property is in a police jurisdiction, it reports to the KBS system of the General Directorate of Security (Emniyet Genel Müdürlüğü); if it is in a gendarmerie jurisdiction, it reports to the KBS system of the Gendarmerie General Command (Jandarma Genel Komutanlığı).

Reporting manually takes time and increases the risk of errors and delays. With a KBS solution integrated with the PMS, guest details are entered once at check-in and the report is sent automatically.

In Zeus PMS Zeus PMS automatically submits Gendarmerie KBS reports at check-in and check-out; Police KBS integration is being rolled out. Explore Zeus PMS →
