A PMS (Property Management System) is the core software that runs a hotel's daily operations, including reservations, the room plan, check-in/check-out, guest accounts, housekeeping and reporting.
The PMS is the hotel's central system of record: the channel manager, booking engine, POS, door lock system, accounting and other systems connect to it. PMSs are increasingly cloud-based, which means no server is needed at the hotel and the system can be accessed from anywhere.
In Turkey, a PMS also needs to support local obligations such as KBS guest reporting, e-Invoice/e-Archive invoicing and accommodation tax.
