What is Booking Engine?
Turkish: Rezervasyon Motoru
A booking engine is software embedded in the hotel's own website that lets guests check availability and book directly with online payment.
No OTA commission is paid on bookings made through the booking engine; the only costs are the online payment (virtual POS) fees and the software. An effective booking engine should be mobile-friendly, fast and have as few steps as possible, and it should pull availability and rates from the PMS in real time.
