What is City Ledger?
Turkish: Cari Hesap
The city ledger is the ledger that holds the accounts receivable of companies, agencies and institutions that are not staying at the hotel but owe it money.
When a guest checks out, the amount to be billed to a company or agency is transferred from the folio to the city ledger. The guest's account is closed, and the receivable is tracked on that company's account and collected when due.
