What is Complimentary (Comp) Room?
Turkish: Ücretsiz Oda
A comp (complimentary) room is a room given to a guest free of charge with management approval, typically for group leaders, business partners or as compensation for a complaint.
Because comp rooms generate no revenue, they are usually excluded from the ADR calculation but shown separately in occupancy reports. To prevent misuse, it is advisable to record who approved each comp room.
