What is TRevPAR (Total Revenue Per Available Room)?
TRevPAR (Total Revenue Per Available Room) is the hotel's total revenue from rooms, food and beverage, spa and all other sources, divided by the number of room nights available.
While RevPAR looks only at room revenue, TRevPAR takes into account everything a guest spends at the hotel. It gives a truer picture of performance for hotels with a strong restaurant, bar or spa.
Growing TRevPAR is not only about selling rooms; it is about making it easy for guests to spend at the hotel during their stay. That is why charging purchases to the room (the folio) and upselling matter.
Formula
TRevPAR = Total hotel revenue ÷ Room nights available
Example
A hotel with 660 available room nights earns €49,500 in room revenue and €16,500 in food and beverage revenue in a month: TRevPAR = €66,000 ÷ 660 = €100.
